Prep time 10 minutes, cooking time 8-10 minutes
FOR THE DRY MIX
2 tsp of smoky paprika
1 tsp of mustard powder
2 tsp of garlic powder
1 tsp of cornflour
1 tsp of white pepper
1/2 tsp of salt
FOR THE CHEESE
500g halloumi cheese
1 cup of breadcrumbs
1 tbsp oregano
1 free-range egg, beaten
Preheat the oven to 200C. Combine the dry ingredients in a bowl.
Cut the halloumi cheese into 1cm cubes.
Beat the egg in a bowl. Combine the breadcrumbs and oregano in a separate bowl.
Using a fork gently toss the halloumi in the spice mix.
Next, dip in egg, then in breadcrumbs, place on a lined baking sheet.
Place the tray in the freezer for 10 minutes.
Bake in the oven for 8-10 minutes until crispy and golden.
Allow to cool, then serve with BBQ sauce.
