Prep time 10 minutes, cooking time 8-10 minutes
FOR THE DRY MIX
2 tsp of smoky paprika
1 tsp of mustard powder
2 tsp of garlic powder
1 tsp of cornflour
1 tsp of white pepper
½ tsp of salt
FOR THE CHEESE
1 free-range egg, beaten
1 cup of breadcrumbs
1 tbsp oregano
500g halloumi cheese
Set out three deep bowls. Combine the dry mix ingredients in a bowl 1.
In bowl 2, beat the egg. Mix the breadcrumbs and oregano in bowl 3.
Cut the halloumi into 1cm cubes. Using a fork gently toss the halloumi in the spice mix, egg, then breadcrumbs.
Place on a lined baking tray and place in the freezer for 10 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 200C. Bake for 8-10 minutes until crispy and golden.
Allow to cool, then serve with BBQ dipping sauce.
