Grilled Steak, Mozzarella & Tomato Salad

P1090332Serves 2, prep time 10 minutes, cooking time 15 minutes

1 tbsp of olive oil
1 large sirloin steak
1 chopped garlic clove
Salt & pepper
2 handfuls of mixed salad leaves
3 large diced tomatoes
1 ball of mozzarella
3 tbsp of chopped walnuts
1/2 sliced red onion
1 tbsp of olive oil
Balsamic glaze
Handful of mini beetroot shoots & basil leaves

Heat the oil in a griddle pan. Add the steak, garlic and season. Grill the steak evenly on both sides to your taste. When the meat is cooked, remove from the heat and allow to stand, while you prepare the salad. In a large serving dish layer, the lettuce leaves, red onion and half the diced tomato, walnuts and tear apart the mozzarella over the leaves. Then, slice the steak into thin strips and add to the plate. Top with the remainder of the ingredients. Pour the olive oil and balsamic glaze and serve.
